Xpresenter 2.1 Adds Powerful New Features for Added Interactivity, Multi-Channel Use

MONTREAL — Feb. 27, 2008 — Leading digital signage solution provider X2O Media is launching Version 2.1 of its powerful Xpresenter™ platform at the 2008 Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas, Feb. 27 and 28. Xpresenter 2.1 adds a number of powerful new features to the full range of applications in the suite, covering all of the steps in the digital signage workflow from content authoring, scheduling and management, and distribution to remote management and playout.

Xpresenter 2.1 builds on the success of Version 2.0 by adding a number of key enhancements. Xpresenter Template Maker, which features the recently-patented and unique PowerPoint®-based approach to content creation, now supports PowerPoint 2007. Xpresenter includes an enhanced style gallery of graphics templates, video clip previewing, and tools for quickly resizing presentations to fit the varying dimensions of output displays. Additional new features in Version 2.1 include:

• Xpresenter Multi-Channel: A new configuration allows multiple instances of the Xpresenter Player on a single PC, enabling multiple, simultaneous channel playback from the same PC hardware.
  
• Multi-Playlists: Users can now create several playlists that can be nested for improved playout capabilities of Xpresenter Player.
  
• Interactive mode enhancements: Xpresenter can be used in a variety of interactive configurations, including touch screens. This new feature adds more flexibility in using transparent buttons so that users can turn any object into a button.
  
• External control options: Xpresenter can interface with or be driven by a number of different technologies including RFID, Bluetooth®, magnetic stripe readers, and credit card readers.
  
• LCD/Plasma “smart” screen control: Operators can turn display screens on and off remotely via simple commands to save power and extend screen life.
• Keyframe animations, more transitions, and other effects: Digital signage operators can create even more visually appealing dynamic media with new effects, directly in PowerPoint.
