MONTREAL –March 1, 2011 — X2O a full-service provider of software, network management, and content services for professional digital signage applications, today announced that two digital signage deployments powered by the company’s Xpresenter(TM) digital signage platform have been honored with Digital Signage Expo (DSE) 2011 Content Awards. SABEResPODER(TM)’s VideoNetwork received a Bronze Award in the “Educational” category for non-interactive installations, while the Fredericton Convention Centre (FCC) in New Brunswick is a Bronze Award winner in the “Informational/Directional” category for interactive installations.
The annual DSE Content Awards honor innovative and compelling content created for digital signage and digital out-of-home networks. Nominated content is judged on creative relevancy, production quality, and intended mission. The awards were presented at the annual DSE Awards Dinner, held on Feb. 23.
SABEResPODER’s award-winning VideoNetwork relies on Xpresenter to educate and empower Spanish-speaking newcomers to the U.S. by providing the practical information they need — in the form of educational video presentations — to become informed, confident, and active participants in American society. VideoNetwork is currently installed in more than 40 Latin American consular offices, community centers, and health centers in cities throughout North America. Xpresenter offers SABEResPODER a number of advanced features for its multi-site network, including the ability to target relevant content to one screen or a group of screens across the network; easily and efficiently incorporate branding elements and localized informational content; and facilitate the content updating process for network operators.
Utilizing Xpresenter, the digital signage solution at the FCC gives attendees the event and facility information they need through a visually engaging and highly responsive interactive interface. The touch-screen system enables guests to access information about scheduled events, facilities, and amenities via strategically located and vertically oriented 46-inch digital HD displays. By clicking on a meeting, they can use the wayfinder feature to view the best path to their desired location, while exploring available amenities along the way. Xpresenter is integrated with the FCC’s EMS® event management software, ensuring that the most current meeting location information is presented to attendees, and that expired events are automatically taken off the screens.
“The prestigious DSE Content Award is a coveted distinction, and we couldn’t be more excited that our Xpresenter is powering two deployments that have been named as winners,” said X2O Media President and CEO David Wilkins. “We are exceedingly proud of the solutions we’ve provided SABEResPODER and the FCC, two networks which exemplify the best that digital signage has to offer.”
