Built using the HTML5 standard, release 5.5 of the X2O Portal provides a major upgrade to the functionality of the X2O Platform, designed to streamline and improve your day-to-day activities of your enterprise visual communications network. This release gives the X2O Portal a new modern look and a streamlined graphical-user interface with solid color, flat-design elements, grid-style layouts, and reduced clutter.

All tasks related to managing the assets on your network, designing channels of content, scheduling this content on players, and creating campaigns has gone through a workflow redesign process.

Asset ManagerFor example, within the Asset Manager, new review and approval tools for content managers provide the ability control the quality of assets and review content in a more structured, process-driven manner.

Schedule ManagerWith the new Schedule Manager it is now easier to schedule events to occur at the player level, and review the players assigned to the selected schedule, or immediately assign additional players by simply drag-and-dropping Playlists, Channels, and Assets into a calendar. Recurring schedules are created by extending the event across multiple calendar days using the mouse.

Campaign ManagerThe new Campaign Manager has been given a complete overhaul to let you quickly create advertising campaigns at both the national and at the regional or player level, using a color-coded grid system. You’ll now be able to immediately see what slots are available to sell more ads.

Channel DesignerThe Channel Designer now includes an enhanced object browser has a new Search box so users can quickly find objects for their channels. A new Animation Timeline editor has been added so you can animate elements of a channel over time by using a fully-featured keyframe editor with drag-and-drop capabilities letting you add dramatic impact to your visual communications with ultra-smooth and broadcast-quality playback.

There are many other features added to this release making 5.5 a very exciting upgrade. And best of all, the upgrade is provided free of charge to all current customers of the X2O cloud-based service. There may be fees involved in any additional training or any system customization.
