With more than 100,000 square feet of gaming, a 19-story hotel tower, a lush resort spa, a convention center, an event and conference area, and numerous restaurants, the Hard Rock Casino & Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma guarantees a good time for everyone. The hotel recently took major steps to ensure guests can find their way around easily – and possibly receive a promotional message or two – while having all that fun.
The Hard Rock facility recently went live with a state-of-the-art digital signage network to help facilitate communications with guests, players, and employees at key points throughout the property. The casino-resort placed a high priority on deploying a system that would be easy to use, easy to manage internally, provide exciting and eye-catching graphics, and offer the ability to deliver instant messages to customers.
X2O’s Xpresenter(TM) platform powers the entire network of displays. One key feature is the ability to deliver instant messaging that is tailored to a specific customer. For instance, a hotel staff member could access the system and quickly enter “Mr. Smith, Poker Table 9”. This message could appear throughout the screens on the casino floor for maximum coverage and enhanced customer service.
Additionally, the Xpresenter platform offers seamless integration with Newmarket International’s Delphi(TM), the most comprehensive hospitality software program. This integration enables hotel event organizers to export information from Delphi, such as event details, meeting room updates and other announcements, directly to display screens within the property. The tight integration between the two systems saves employees time and prevents potential errors.
Another challenge presented to X2O included the requirement to facilitate content management and to devise a solution that would enable non-technical casino personnel to access the system and update content. X2O worked closely with the resort’s IT and AV departments to develop a workflow for content management that would be easy to use and relevant to the different types of display screens. The system’s Web Control screens provide unprecedented flexibility and enable individuals in charge of each department to manage and update their own screens by accessing a central database of approved content.
The ability to run multiple signage formats from one platform, integration with the Delphi booking system, and easy-to-use Web Control screens have saved resort personnel significant time and effort. And hotel guests are thrilled with the high-end image quality and graphical look and feel of the signage. We’d say that’s a winning outcome.
